Verathon Medical and its employees wish to assist the affected population of the earthquake and tsumami in Japan. For medical Disaster Relief Teams going to Japan, we can arrange for the loan of a GlideScope Ranger video laryngoscope. Please see information provided below for details.
GlideScope® Ranger Loaner Program

Verathon Inc and Verathon Medical Canada (VMCA) recieve many requests for loan of the GlideScope® Ranger video laryngoscope for overseas volunteer/pro bono work.
Therefore:
- Verathon Medical Canada has allocated GlideScope® Ranger instruments for short term loan for overseas volunteer/pro bono travel.
- The loan period covers 2 weeks but may be extended for 1 additional week on request. Extensions of the two week program must be requested and approved in writing by Verathon Medical Canada.
- The loan requires that the unit be returned promptly so that redeployment can be carried out on schedule.
- The loaned products remain at all times the property of Verathon Medical Canada. Verathon assumes no liability for use of these loaned products.
- The log related to this loaner program is kept at Verathon Canada. A Washington state log will also be managed by Laura Meyers (VMCA), who also coordinate with Bothell team members Minda Evans – Director of Customer Care and Lorraine Silva – GlideScope Brand Director.
Information in the log contains:
a. Name of the “Party Receiving the Loaned Equipment”
b. Facility of “Party Receiving the Loaned Equipment”
c. All contact info for “Party Receiving the Loaned Equipment”-
Facility address, phone, email, etc.
d. Name of organization “Party Receiving the Loaned Equipment”
will be workingwith
e. Contact info for organization in “d” above
f. Country destination of “Party Receiving the Loaned Equipment”
g. Date needed:
h. Ship Date (and address) for Ranger
i. Return Date for Ranger
j. Confirmation upon return that unit is in good order
- In return for this equipment loan, VMCA requests that approximately 10-12 digital photographs or video segments be provided of the GlideScope Ranger in use. Clinical (e.g. screen shots of the airway, tube placement, etc.) and Medical clinic scenes are of interest.
a. The “Party Receiving the Loaned Equipment” will procure all necessary patient,
physician and facility permissions for use (photos, video, etc.) in writing and
provide them to Verathon at the time they transfer photos, videos, etc..
b. The photo and or video file will be available for posting to the Verathon website.
c. Information and photos/videos about the volunteer effort will be shared with appropriate publications.
